Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture
Economics from The Ohio State University in 1983. He obtained a Master of Science degree (with thesis) in Economics from The Ohio State University in 1986. Chris entered the financial services industry in July 1986 and is a published author.* He has held an insurance license since 1986 and obtained his General Securities License (Series 7) in March of 1988 and in addition, holds the Series 6 and 63 licenses. Chris received his Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) professional designation in 1998 from the Institute of Business & Finance. In 1996, Chris co-founded BKW Advisory Service Corporation, a Registered Investment Advisor, and served as the firm’s President and Chief Investment Officer. The growth of the firm’s asset management business led Chris to later co-found Ascend Advisory Group in 2001. He is listed in Standard & Poor’s Register of Directors and Executives and is a graduate of The Strategic Coach; a program designed exclusively for successful entrepreneurs. Chris also participated in The Strategic Coach Master’s Program. In addition, Chris has appeared on WBNS 10TV on several occasions regarding financial market commentary and on segments relating to retirement and investment planning. He has also been a speaker at local Rotary meetings, women’s investment clubs and industry seminars. He is a member of the Worthington Chapter of Amspirit Business Professionals and has served on the Board since 2003.

Chris is a former competitive bodybuilder and enjoys bodybuilding, weightlifting and bicycling. He also coached youth soccer from 1996-1999. He resides in Muirfield Village with his wife Lori and their 2 children, Kristina and Philip.
