Known for his disciplined work ethic and passion for helping clients, Mike’s commitment to philanthropy has made him a true inspiration in both, his professional and personal life. His drive & passion have earned him the trust of clients in 23 states across the US with $600M assets under management (as of 11/12/24).

He grew up in Louisville, Ohio (near Canton) and played football at Wittenberg University (2002 graduate), where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Honor in 2022.  Mike interned at the Chicago Board of Trade which sparked his interest in wealth management.  After graduating, Mike played two seasons of professional football in Germany for the Berlin Adler & Braunschwieg Lions before hanging up his cleats and taking his competitive spirits into the field of wealth management. Mike started his career as a financial planner with Prudential Financial Services and Morgan Stanley.  After cutting his teeth, Mike joined Chase Investment Services Inc. and became one of the highest grossing advisors in the state of Ohio in 2011.  The following year, Mike transitioned to Morgan Stanley Investment Management as the next chapter in his career path. 

Few could replicate Mike’s growth trajectory in working for JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley, some of the largest banks in the world. Mike has strategically and steadily built his team, which he successfully brought with him along with $440M in assets under management, to Ascend Advisory in 2023 (as of 12/31/2023).  

Mike’s team works with families in providing multi-generational investment planning from large business owners to young professionals.

He, especially, focuses on helping business owners transition from lifestyle businesses to enterprise value corporations. Mike constantly coaches his team on seeing one-on-one meetings as an opportunity to keep people true to their goals. Like any fitness trainer, it is reminding people of the goal ahead and taking one step at a time with rigor.
