My Story

Tony Reilly is the Founder and CEO of Ascend Advisory Group, leading an independent wealth management practice with approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management (as of 12/31/25). Based in Dublin, Ohio, the practice serves individuals, families, business owners, and institutions across 44 states. Tony is a nationally recognized investment leader and keynote speaker on investing, entrepreneurship, leadership, philanthropy, and business succession.

A Long-Term Investor

Tony arrived in America from Dublin, Ireland, in 1986 on a soccer scholarship to Sterling College in Kansas.

Inspired by Warren Buffett’s investment philosophy, Tony has built his career around a simple belief: own exceptional businesses, think long term, and remember that buying a stock means owning part of a real company.

Building Ascend

In 2001, Tony founded Ascend Advisory Group with $27 million in client assets. Today, the practice manages approximately $2.5 billion in assets (as of 12/31/25), helping clients integrate investment management, tax planning, estate planning, and business succession.

Earlier in his career, Tony served as Interim CEO of Diamond Hill, helping shape the publicly traded asset manager during a pivotal period. The company was acquired by First Eagle Investments in March 2026.

Whether advising clients, mentoring advisors, or speaking to business leaders, Tony is passionate about helping others build lasting success.
