DUBLIN, OHIO – Ascend Advisory today announced Mike Aljancic (LinkedIn), joined the firm as a financial advisor.
“To have a seasoned, nationally recognized financial advisor join our firm, the timing couldn’t be better as we crossed the $2B mark of assets under management,” according to CEO Tony Reilly (as of 3/28).
Aljancic’s primary focuses are multi-generational planning for families and working with business owners to help them transition from lifestyle businesses to focusing on building their enterprise value. Aljancic believes that sound, goal-based investment planning is the foundation for creating, building, and maintaining wealth.
“Mike brings an expert team that will add to Ascend’s talent pool immediately. Adding some of the best talent on Wall Street to our team will continue to allow us to serve our clients, large and small, throughout the country,” Reilly commented on the move.
Aljancic comes with a breadth of experience including Certified Financial Planner® (CFP), Series 7 Registration, Series 31 Registration, Series 65 Registration, Series 66 Registration and insurance licensing within Ohio.
“I did about a year and a half of due diligence and Ascend Advisory Group had the best combination of culture and resources,” Aljancic shared. “There is no competition when it comes to Ascend’s flexibility of choice for investments and research compared to large and small companies on the spectrum. I get to have flexibility for an unbiased outlook to serve clients’ best interests.”
Prior to joining Ascend Advisory Group, Aljancic started in the financial industry in 2001 as an intern at the Chicago Board of Trade. After a brief stint in the German Football League, he began his financial planning career in 2004 at Chase Investment Services Corp. (2004 - 2012). Aljancic moved to Morgan Stanley in 2012 and earned the title of Managing Director, which is Morgan Stanley's highest title for a financial advisor.
