Ascend Welcomes 1,000th Event Guest as TCW’s Eli Horton Brings National Investment Perspective to Columbus

DUBLIN, OHIO — August 2026Eli Horton, Managing Director & Senior Portfolio Manager, Equities at TCW and a recent guest on CNBC’s Fast Money, joined Ascend Advisory in Dublin for an evening of conversation around some of the most important forces shaping the investment landscape.

The event also marked a milestone for Ascend: Horton was part of the 1,000th guest welcomed into Ascend’s headquarters for an event since the practice moved to its new Dublin Bridge Park location.

“We’ve always wanted our headquarters to be more than a place where we work,” said Tony Reilly, CEO of Ascend Advisory. “It’s a place where we can bring people together, share ideas and create opportunities for our clients and community to hear directly from some of the most interesting voices in investing and business.”

Horton’s appearance at Ascend was part of the practice’s ongoing focus on bringing national investment perspectives to its clients and community in Central Ohio.

As a portfolio manager at TCW, Horton focuses on the structural changes taking place across the global economy, including the growing demand for power and infrastructure created by artificial intelligence, data centers and the broader re-industrialization of the U.S.

In his recent CNBC appearance, Horton discussed the growing energy demand associated with AI and the investment implications of the enormous infrastructure buildout underway.

His perspective is part of a broader investment thesis he has discussed in interviews and presentations: after years in which software and technology dominated the investment conversation, capital is increasingly moving toward the physical systems required to support the next generation of economic growth.

Horton has described this transition as a generational buildout spanning power, infrastructure, manufacturing and supply chains.

He has also explored how the enormous electricity requirements of AI and data centers are creating new challenges and opportunities throughout the power system.

A Different Kind of Investment Conversation

For Ascend, hosting speakers like Horton is an extension of the practice’s approach to investment management.

“We want our clients to have access to ideas and perspectives that go beyond what they might see in the daily headlines,” said Reilly. “Bringing someone like Eli Horton into our office gives our clients the opportunity to hear directly from an investment professional who is thinking about where the economy is going, not simply where it has been.”

1,000 Guests and Counting

Reaching 1,000 guests since moving into its new headquarters is a milestone that reflects how Ascend has envisioned the space from the beginning.

The headquarters, located in Dublin Bridge Park, was designed to accommodate the continued growth of the practice while creating a place for clients, professionals, business leaders and members of the community to gather.

Ascend has grown from $27 million in assets when the practice was founded in 2001 to approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025, serving clients across the country.

The practice has also expanded its physical headquarters from approximately 4,000 square feet to nearly 20,000 square feet as its team and national client base have grown.

For Ascend, the 1,000th guest was more than a number. It was a reflection of what the practice hoped the new headquarters would become: a place where investment professionals, clients and the broader community can come together around meaningful conversations.

And celebrating the milestone with one of the investment industry's most interesting voices made it especially fitting.
